The Southeast Endurance Riders Association (SERA) is a non-profit organization designed to promote endurance riding, encourage better care of endurance horses through rider education and assist ride managers in producing quality competitions. The area served by SERA consists of the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. SERA uses the rules for endurance riding as set forth by the American Endurance Ride Conference. SERA supports the Principles for Equestrian Trail Organizations.

This year we are holding our awards and annual meetings in conjunction with the AERC Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. Please join us on Saturday, March 8, 2013. A light breakfast will be served at no cost to SERA and GERA members starting at 6:00 a.m. on a first come, first-served basis, with awards starting at 6:30 a.m. and business meetings to follow. We will adjourn promptly at 9:00 a.m. so that everyone can attend the Saturday Hot Topics session.
AERC's Southeast Regional Directors (Susan Kasemeyer & Joe Schoech) offer this motion (Click here to view the REVISED Motion) from AERC's Sponsorship Committee for your review and opinion. Please feel free to communicate your views to your AERC regional directors and/or AERC's Board of Directors. The email addresses can be found on AERC's website (aerc.org) or in the front of The Endurance News magazine.
AERC recently announced a new web page for locating AERC Rides close to where you live. You simply enter your ZIP Code and the distance you are willing to drive and all the AERC rides within that distance will be shown along with a Google Map of the locations. You are also presented with an option of creating a spreadsheet of the ride information. Ride Managers, unless you have supplied AERC with the GPS (latitude - longitude) coordinates of ride camp, you need to note that the location you used in your AERC sanction request is where the ride will located for this service. SERAOnLine has provided a link to this service in the Menu to the left - Ride Information -> AERC Ride Planner. Thank you go to Stace Moss for this new AERC service
Then you missed excellant presentations by Lynn Kenelly, Dr. Don Meuten and Dr. Lynn Johnson, time to visit with your SERA friends and lots of fun.
