SERA Education

Longevity For Your Performance Horse

Lynn Kenelly, SERA Education Director is pleased to announce a summer clinic Longevity For Your Performance Horse. This clinic is to be held in conjunction with the Biltmore Challenge II(July 11-12 Biltmore Estates, Asheville, NC). The trails for this ride have been designed so that the latter part of the ride and particularly the last loop each day will mainly be in the shady woods. The start time for the 55s is 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. for the LDs in order to take as much advantage of the cooler mountain mornings as possible. The 55's will also be doing two new loops on the West Range (other side of the River) each day (Blue and Orange on Fri. and Green and Yellow on Sat.) These are new loops that have not ridden before this year that we just marked this winter. These trails have been getting rave reviews for the scenic beauty. You go through vineyards along a lake reminding one of the wine growing region of France, through wooded forest, through beautiful farm lands, and along shady river trails. And you see old houses from the 1800s as well as views of the Biltmore House that reminds one of the chateaus for France.

Also, please note that BEC has agreed to supply one 10-pound bag of ice / horse / hold – be sure to take advantage of this fabulous offer! They will have an ice storage truck on premises. Ice beyond that is either you supply or you buy at (we believe it is $2/bag).
