Of Course Jody and Joni are entering !!! We haven’t sent in the entries yet….so if Eric is lurking, don’t panic, all the horses and still sound…just need to tuning up .

So, what distance will you be riding??? How many days???? Tell us ALL about it. I think all of us here could stay “drunk” on Endurance talk. :)

PS. Somebody save me a parking space there !!! I won’t be there until Thursday night late.

I just sent my entry on Friday. I will be riding LD on both Wed. & Thurs.
This will be our first ride for the year. We’ll see how it goes. If there is anyone out there that is looking for a riding partner please let me know.
    Thanks and Happy riding!

My sister, Lisa, and I will be riding the LD at BSF on Saturday. It’s our first ride of this season as well. Had intended to do GERA but had a horse colic just prior and had to stay home.

Have just transitioned both horses to barefoot and rode with front boots only last weekend at Circle E Ranch in Belvidere, TN (very rocky!). Hoping both can do BSF with front only boots.

We won’t arrive until Friday about lunchtime, so may have parking dilemma! Looking forward to the ride!

I am going to BSF and hope to ride the 100 , depending on the temp. I sent my entry in today , I think Linda Joyner is planning to ride the 100 also. Eric says there are only two out vet checks , and one small repete loop , sound good to me . should be a great ride. It will be my second 100 Paul Sidio an I did the Tevis , it was GREAT. H ope to see all of you there .

    Ron,

I read your post about the Tevis. Great job. I bet your heart was in your throat after pulling a shoe at 90 plus miles. As they say all is well that ends well.

    Thanks Truman,
Yes it was one more test of faith, so I just prayed I would vet through sound. He answered my paryer. It was an awesome ride. I had never done a 100 before and now I am about to try another one.

Hey Ron Great job. You sure have come a very long way in a short time. I am sure it helped to pick a great horse also.
I assume he has not dumped you again after the Trace ride. :)

If all goes as planned I and Carol will be at BSF to mark trails on Tues and Wed. Carol will take the horse/mule home and I will stay to help with pulse etc.
Not doing anymore endurance rides, for now that is. I may find another horse later…or not.

Will look you up and check out that buckle :)

    Congratulations
    Roger

    Great Ron !!!

According to Eric, we are up to at least 18 entries in the 100 now. I bet he will end up with 20+. I have also talked to Eric about the start time for the 100, he has that at 7am right now, but is very willing to change if the riders think this is a good thing. I personally would to start it earlier. Mentally and physically, horse and rider do better to ride in the dark in the first part of a 100, versus so much at the end. Be sure to think about it and voice your opinion at the rider meeting.

I vote for a 2 AM start. They do it down under and everyone is quite happy about it.

Unsigned - I don’t want to get lynched.

  13. Ron Chapman Says:

I like the 2 am start , bring it on. I know Linda Joyner is doing the 100 , I don’t think Eric has her entry yet.

    Ron

  14. Jody Says:

Ok, I can play that game. I see like a cat in the dark. Let’s just make it a night 100 and start at 6 pm…. on Friday !!!!!!

  15. Ron Chapman Says:

I am with you kitty lets get it on
